Job Summary:
As a Regional Distribution Center Manager, you will be the lead individual for the distribution center, staffing the location and creating best practices. The Regional Distribution Center (RDC) will service our customer base in the market with the full suite of NCS product offerings. To achieve this, managers are expected to provide their teams with the tools needed for success while driving improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. Successful candidates will ensure efficiency in the distribution center with daily oversight of distribution center operations including inventory, shipping and receiving. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
Job Duties:
- Maintains the physical condition of the distribution facility to reflect positively on the NCS brand and organization including establishing and maintaining a 5s program.
- Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements
- Forecast staffing, workload and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results for areas of responsibilities
- Manage inventory to ensure records are maintained, integrity is kept and maximum customer service is achieved
- Participate in administering company policies, directing and coordinating all department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives
- Provide coaching, information, ideas, feedback and encouragement to employees to promote the growth and development of the team
- Define and communicate performance targets for safety, quality, delivery, costs and employee engagement/development with the team. Hold the team accountable for those targets
- Establish an environment conducive to high levels of engagement, morale, employee satisfaction, and performance according to NCS Values and Vision
- Review analyses of activities, costs operations and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives
- Act as the primary point of resolution for escalating customer issues and/or complaints, as well as internal/local concerns and complaints. Resolves or escalates matters as necessary
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Manage and Oversee inventory, warehousing and delivery operations in the market and at up to 5 satellite storage facilities within the assigned territories
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
- Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
- Any other duties as assigned by the VP of Ops- Distribution & Fulfill and the senior executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in distribution, fulfillment and/or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of business management principles and practices
- Knowledge of technical aspects of raw material warehousing/distribution with skills aligned to transactional processing and warehousing design including the ability to implement these designs
- Proficiency in WMS system environment required
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and computer literacy.
- Up to 20% travel required
- Proven history of ability to train, organize, lead, and motivate a team to succeed

solving and analysis and implementation of solutions
