About the Role:

As a laborer, the primary goal is to support the site supervisor and foremen in maintaining a clean job site, ensuring cleanliness both inside and outside units, and maintaining professional storage of materials at all times, while also being responsible for key accountabilities such as material storage, reporting safety issues, assisting with units under construction, managing temporary heat, and maintaining logs for vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans interior of units under construction- including garages and porches - from excavation through until occupancy of the home.
  • Cleans and tidies all areas around the site. Any debris/materials that are unsightly are to be put in designated waste bins.
  • Maintains cleaning supplies in the site office.
  • Maintains and transports temporary heaters as per winter heat training provided through eQ.
  • Ensures homes are locked at the end of each work day.
  • Covers hardwood floors.
  • Maintains maintenance logs for site vehicle and other equipment as required.
  • Ensures all eQ staff and Trade Partners abide by the Ministry of Labour regulations and eQ Health and Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

About You:

  • Willingness and ability to perform daily physical labour
  • Clean driving record (drivers abstract will be required)
  • Maintains to do lists and reports to supervisor on a daily basis
  • Hard working while maintaining attention to detail at all times
  • Understanding of MOL requirements and the importance of reporting structure as relates to Health and Safety
