Performance Technician - ODP

Location: Glencore Onaping Depth Project - Sudbury, Ontario.

Work Schedule: 5/2, Monday to Friday.

Reports To: Project Engineer.

General Purpose of This Position:

Collects all relevant data to determine how the project is performing relative to expectations. Produces quality and timely reports to accurately communicate performance information from data collected. Responsible for reporting on various development and construction work packages.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Health and Safety

  • Work in compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
  • Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department.
  • Participate in the site safety program.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily reports for various development and construction work packages.
  • Produce development cycle performance reports.
  • Assist with establishing and tracking progress against forecast.
  • Update weekly project performance reports.

Travel Requirements:

  • None.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Education and Experience:

  • Mining Technician or Technologist Diploma.
  • 1 -3 years of experience, in an underground environment, with a general knowledge of mine development and construction.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Able to organize, compile, and analyze information from multiple sources.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Deswik OPS considered an asset.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
