Reporting to the Sales Supervisor Laurel Steel in Burlington is looking for a Full-time Structural Engineering Specialist to join our team.

Basic Functions

  • Review and prepare detailed technical drawings for structural components and steel selection that align with customer specifications, industry standards, provincial standards, and Laurel Steel's manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with our sales team to support customer engineers and technicians in coordinating structural designs and solutions.
  • Create and edit drawings using CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and progress summaries.
  • Perform other relevant technical activities as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering Technology from a recognized technical institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and trade shows.
