Position Overview:

We are building a pool of skilled Journeyman and Apprentice Boilermakers (employees & DSPs) for multiple projects beginning in early 2025. In addition to field responsibilities, this role could include opportunities to contribute to the development of Canoco's Boilermaker training program, ensuring continued growth and safety excellence. Qualifications & Education:

  • Journeyman Certificate or active Apprenticeship in Boilermaking
  • Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Required certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS 2015
  • Preferred certifications: Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Successful completion of Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol testing

Skills, Attributes, and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, with expertise in essential Boilermaker tasks including blinding/deblinding equipment, pulling and installing exchanger bundles, rigging, hoisting, and hydro testing.
  • Perform internal vessel work, maintaining full compliance with industry safety standards, and ensure adherence to Canoco's safety protocols and client-specific requirements.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in complex decision-making situations, with effective communication and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Take initiative in contributing to the development and implementation of a training program for Boilermaker roles, with ongoing opportunities to participate in and support additional training initiatives.
