THE ROLE
STRIVE is working with a renowned top 10 BC public practice firm with over 200+ team members across multiple offices. Our client is known for their work-life balance, with a 35-hour standard work week, a 4-day work week in the summer as well as a hybrid operation - our client has a strong base of long-term and stable employees who enjoy the flexibility and benefits of a well-respected firm.
We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Private Company (Enterprise) Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, manage, and execute Compilation and Review engagements.
- Prepare financial statements with appropriate note disclosure in accordance with ASPE;
- Review and finalize corporate and personal income tax returns, and related financial statements;
- Identify and research potential resolutions for technical issues that arise during the engagement;
- Monitor progress of work being completed on files and communicate with team and partners;
- Identify and analyze client needs and provide exceptional service and advice to our clients;
- Assist with client management and foster excellent relationships with clients and initiate business development opportunities;
- Train, develop and supervise intermediate and junior staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified CPA with one year managerial experience in a public practice firm working with Private Enterprise clients;
- Extensive experience with Canadian tax preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and various other required filings (e.g.,trust returns, tax elections, etc).
- Experience with CaseWare and Taxprep, (experience with QuickBooks, Simply Accounting and other cloud based applications is an asset);
- Experience with review engagements;
