AWC Process Solutions Ltd. is a distributor and integrator of industrial process equipment for a variety of industries including pulp & paper, water & wastewater, oil and gas, mining & metals, and chemical manufacturing. AWC is an exclusive distributor of industrial equipment for many world-class manufacturers of pumps, valves, motors & VFDs, and other equipment.

As an Applications Engineer, you will be a sales professional who reflects AWC's corporate commitment to being responsive to their client's needs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and works closely with the outside sales team as well as other departments with the ability to build relationships with clients.

  • Field emails and telephone calls to provide technical assistance to AWC's clients
  • Assist clients in the selection of process equipment to meet their specific needs
  • Prepare quotations and proposals in response to customer inquiries
  • Complete sales orders and purchase parts and equipment
  • Expedite orders from vendors
  • Participate in parts recapture initiatives and similar growth programs
  • Design, and proposal preparation, of small packaged systems
  • Project management of said systems to ensure successful execution
  • Work with various disciplines internal to AWC such as service, fabrication, etc. as well as external vendors

Qualifications:

  • Diploma from a technical college, such as BCIT, in a mechanical discipline is preferred.
  • Alternately, a minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales in a technical role in industrial markets.
  • Product specific training will be provided, though experience with pumps, and/or valves will be an asset.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English is essential
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Desire for life long continuous learning and development.

  • Shows the ability to adapt and overcome client objections, sourcing out the best solution for a technical requirement.
  • Displays an assertive but collaborative approach to sales.
