Position Summary:
Reporting to the Long Sault Shift Supervisor, the Operator is responsible for maintaining the quality of the material produced and performing required tests.
Operator – 23.34 starting, then after 3 months=24.40 and after 12months 27.00.

Grade 12 diploma or relevant experience, industrial experience, mechanical abilities, good knowledge of measuring tools and plastic extrusion is an asset.

Position Summary:

Position Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain the quality of the sheets.
- Ensure that the line is properly set-up.
- Responsible for performing required product tests such as Xrite, measurements, impact, lips, etc.
- Document all tests and process changes.
- Generate and fill out the required quality test sheet.
- Ensure that regrind is used and is available (properly mixed) during the shift and at the proper percentage.
- Check alarm every hour.
- Keep samples properly identified and signed.
- Responsible to ensure that all finish products, trim, scrap & others are properly identified.
- Replenish drip guard.
- Make rounds.
- Check product sheets.
- Housekeeping of the line.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Training of other operators and assistants as required.
- Enter production results into form/computer/database as required.
- Responsible for making ID Labels.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat and kneel.

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday- Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
