Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst with extensive experience in the capital markets or banking sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and proficiency in SQL and Python, and will be capable of translating complex data into actionable insights for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Query Development: Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis and extraction.
• Data Manipulation: Use Python for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis, utilizing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
• Data Integrity Management: Manage and ensure the integrity of large datasets crucial for analysis.
• Insight Generation: Translate data into meaningful insights that address business questions and identify opportunities.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create and automate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Presentation of Findings: Present complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders and executive teams.
• Business Process Analysis: Work closely with business units to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows.
• Data-Driven Decision Support: Facilitate data-driven decision-making by providing timely, accurate, and relevant information.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, Finance, Risk Management, and Operations teams to support company objectives.
• Communication: Communicate complex data concepts and the implications of analyses to a non-technical audience.
• Scenario Modeling: Support strategic initiatives through scenario modeling and impact analysis.
• Methodology Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of new data analysis methodologies.
• Industry Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of capital markets or banking industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Domain Application: Apply domain knowledge to enhance data analysis and interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a data analysis role within the capital markets or banking sector.
• Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in SQL and Python is required.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independence & Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Data Understanding: Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Statistical Knowledge: Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques is a plus.
