We're committed to nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where innovation shapes the future of nutritional health.Purpose of the Position:Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operator supports the delivery of excellent customer service by adhering to standard operating procedures in relation to picking, receiving, storing, moving and loading all materials and finished products between the Company's warehouses and in preparation for shipment to customers.
Responsibilities & Expectations:- Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking for shipment of Sales Orders to customers, receipt of goods from suppliers and internal replenishment orders.
- Drives the 3-ton truck between the Company's warehouses, customers and suppliers.
- Processes internal replenishment orders as requested, completing all ERP transactions.
- Performs all inventory transactions, utilizing the ERP system or barcode scanners, to track all movements through the ERP system.
- Adheres to warehouse rules to ensure proper location of materials and finished product inventory.
- Assists in cycle counting activities as required.
- Operates forklift or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store all inventories.
- Handles dangerous goods, following established protocols, documentation and safety regulations.
- Proactively reports and addresses any inventory discrepancies.
- Maintains a clean, organized and efficient warehouse by adhering to all cleaning checklists and protocols.
- Maintains inventories of warehouse supplies, including pallets, wrapping and cleaning materials, etc.
- Proactively reports and addresses safety issues and concerns.
- Completes special projects and assignments as required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a warehousing or shipping/receiving environment, with a preference for experience working in a food production facility.
- Class 5 driver's license, class 1A license is an asset.
- Strong driving record, supported by a current driver's abstract.
- Previous forklift experience and/or training is provided.
- Experience with WHMIS and TDG is preferred.
- Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to work independently is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
