ACCES Employment is a leader in connecting qualified jobseekers from diverse backgrounds with employers across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, and Canada. ACCES helps more than 40,000 job seekers each year at seven locations in the GTA. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, ACCES provides job search services that connect newcomers, jobseekers, youth, women, and refugees to jobs that reflect their skills and experience. We provide over 35 customized job search programs that meet the unique needs of our jobseekers. Our vision is to achieve a fully inclusive labour force that reflects the diversity, skills, and experience of Canada's population.
We are looking for students that would like to complete their practicum experience in any of our 7 locations.
360 Hours Total Assignment or as the co-op program requires
24 Hours a Week/ 3 or 4 Days Per Week, Totaling 24 Hours a Week, Up to 360 Hours Overall
Co-op Term: January 2024 to April 2024 (Exact dates will be according to the student's College/university parameters)

EO Tasks
- Data Entry
- Intakes (Job Shadow: Learning how to create a service plan, service plan steps, and assessments)
- Exits (Job Shadow: Learning how to create Exit Plan, and update Client Notes)
- Follow-ups 3,6,12 Months (Shadow someone calling and recording outcome on SF)
- Learn about SalesForce (Shadowing how to attach clients resume to their profile, update client notes, RI service plan and steps)
- Learn how to edit active client resumes
- Formatting resume, critiquing clients resume
- Provide notes and feedback on the document
- Share with EC and discuss changes and EC will share with client
- Understand how to use webinar technology (ZOOM)
- Get familiar with webinar presentation
- Co-facilitate webinar with EC or complete a practice session
- Exposure to Bridging Programs
- Second Career
Required Skills:
- In progress of completing a Career Development Practitioner Program, Social Service Work diploma, or a related field.
- High level of professionalism and ability to identify, handle and safeguard confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently and be self-disciplined
- Able to work effectively in a team environment where priorities can change frequently
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and has an aptitude to learn new software skills
- Positive, can-do attitude with an ability to “roll-up the sleeves” and work collaboratively with the team to reach the team's goals
