Salary: $85,000 base + commission + company vehicle
Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the President, the Account Manager is responsible for following up on business leads, managing accounts, creating an excellent customer experience and achieving sales targets, building relationships with new clients, strengthening relationships with existing clients and leading team productivity.
Qualifications and Experience – Essential
- 3+ years working with building systems including mechanical (HVAC) system with a focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability management strategy, commercial buildings energy and water budgeting
- 2+ years work experience in sourcing clients, networking and cold calling for new business
- Certified Engineering Technician (C.E.T)
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certifications
- Must posses prior experience working with commercial office buildings
- A solid demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding goals; proven ability to manage work independently
- A valid G Class driver's license
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for managing several accounts and often being the face of the company.
- Responsible for creating new business relationships by utilizing existing industry contacts.
- Identifying problems and developing solutions for the clients, quickly and efficiently.
- Achieving sales targets and goals while ensuring that Dynergy Clients' energy management needs are being identified and met
- Responsible for designing and delivering effective presentations that are concise, clear and convincing for knowledgeable executives.
- Managing Dynergy's client relationships by providing excellent customer service and support while ensuring that all business deals are profitable for both the client and Dynergy.
- Collaborating with other teams and departments to meet clients' needs, achieving the desired outcomes and creating new opportunities.
- Proving feedback from market research and suggestions for process improvement to the senior management.
- Staying up to date regarding all competitive activities regarding accounts and preventing client attrition by forecasting and monitoring account metrics for each client
- Negotiating contracts in the best interests of clients and the organization
Qualifications and Experience – Desirable
- LEED Accredited Professional AP O+M
- Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
- WELLS Council Membership is considered an asset
- Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Membership is considered an asset
- Experience working with commercial property managers is considered an asset
- Knowledge of energy and utility metering/sub-metering is considered an asset

Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel to customers' sites within the GTA and, less frequently, within Southern Ontario
- Comfortable driving in the city using company vehicle
- A flexible work schedule
