Journeyman Carpenter

Key Information:

• Must have your Red Seal or 3rd or 4th year Journey Level Carpentry ticket.
• Must have the ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications.
• Hours: Project dependent; minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• • The ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications is required.

• Manual dexterity and ability to use carpentry tools safely.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Red Seal or 3rd or 4th year Journey Level Carpentry ticket required.
• At least 5 years of carpentry or equivalent experience required.
• CSTS 09, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
• Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand. Signals, and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Journey Level Carpentry ticket is required.
