Purpose:

This role oversees and manages all financial operations of the company. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy to ensure continued growth, stability, and profitability for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, transaction closure, and statement generation.
  • Ensure alignment with financial goals and evaluate budget/forecast variances.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring clarity and reliability for stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and update weekly cash flow forecasts, ensuring financial liquidity and effective cash management.
  • Oversee and manage all AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of customer and vendor payments, and oversee foreign currency transactions.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, AP, AR, etc.) are accurate and completed on time.
  • Work with external auditors and the Leadership Team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
  • Lead special finance projects and ERP process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Confident judgment
  • Organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to constant change
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with high pressure and tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • CPA Designation is required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced level).
  • Familiarity with Great Plains is an asset.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions is an asset.
