Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our Edmonton office. This position reports directly to the Office Manager and supports our Tax group. The successful candidate will be a career-focused Administrative professional that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.
The Role
- General administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, preparing letters, memos, spreadsheets, data entry, setting up new client files, scanning, photocopying, maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
- Printing, assembling and filing T1 (personal tax returns), T2 (corporate tax returns), T3 (trust returns) and T4/T5 (income and remuneration slips)
- Correspond with Canada Revenue Agency and other tax authorities as required
- Other tasks as required in an office environment
What You Will Bring
- 1-3 years of administrative experience and/or recent completion of a post-secondary administrative assistant program
- A great attitude with a high level of energy and confidence
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A thorough working knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn and retain new software applications and processes
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask and work well within a team and as an individual
- Professional and courteous manner at all times
- Experience with a public accounting firm and knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep software is an asset, but not required
