Summary:

The Assistant Service Manager is considered a working manager role that entails office and shop floor duties. Tasks in the shop include mentoring and leading employees, performing all tasks of the Leads and Spooling Technicians where needed. Having mechanical aptitude and prior knowledge and/or experience with hydraulics, mechanical systems, coil tubing and tools would be beneficial. This position demonstrates leadership in all activities including acting as a champion for Safety. The office tasks of this role include preparation of job packages, coordinating 3rd party services, planning and scheduling of work, coordinating logistics activities, data entry, and assisting with the Service Manager with coverage of duties as needed, as well as special projects as assigned. This position participates in an on-call rotation and may require work outside of standard business hours. Active participation in FET's Health, Safety and Environment program is required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Compile documentation and data required to complete job packages.
  • Schedule 3rd party services.
  • Act as a liaison with customers and vendors including answering emails and phone call inquiries.
  • Coordinate the logistics for all incoming and outcoming trucks.
  • Assists with work directives, resolving problems and scheduling
  • Data entry for various software programs, including ERP's.
  • Lead and mentor shop employees.
  • Assist in production work as needed.
  • Backfill Service Manager duties when necessary.
  • Ability to be on call.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in all areas including, HSE.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Proficient in safe work practices.
  • Knowledge of mathematics including subtraction of fractions and decimals.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while achieving deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical thinker with problem solving capabilities.
  • Capable of wearing required PPE to perform work related activities as necessary.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Previous Coil Tubing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prior leadership and/or Supervisory experience considered an asset.
