Reporting directly to ownership, the ideal candidate is a seasoned, career focused individual who has a proven track record in leadership, professionalism and with a strong ambition to thrive.
The Role:
- Manage all accounting and payroll operations
- Oversee lead administrators within the individual companies within group
- Prepare and submit dealership financial statements to manufacturers and banks
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for dealership financial statements
- Investigate and complete bank reconciliations
- Generate regular financial reports
- Handle assorted general ledger transactions
- Manage working capital and monthly cash flow requirements
- Oversee the maintenance of employee benefits for dealership staff
- Administer payroll process that aligns with Corporate and Legal best practices
- Process new employees and departures into both dealership and payroll software applications
- Manage employee files
The Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in a senior-level accounting role
- Post Secondary degree/diploma in accounting
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, considered an asset
- Possess a strong understanding of the financial workings of the automotive industry
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to self-manage oneself in a fast paced and deadline-oriented role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
