Job Description: HR & Payroll Administrator (Mat-leave)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30 pm

The MacEwan University Health Centre is a state-of-the art primary care clinic located in downtown Edmonton just off MacEwan University campus. Reporting to the Clinic Manager and working under the direction of an offsite financial supervisor, the Human Resources and Payroll Administrator is the main point of contact for human resource administration and accounting matters at the clinic. This will be an exciting, challenging, and rewarding role within the clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources:
- Full cycle recruitment and selection for support staff vacancies
- Schedule and participate in interviews
- Conduct orientation for new employees and process new employee forms such as appointment letters, benefit enrollment and other on-boarding administration
- Ensure performance evaluation forms are dispersed to supervisors prior to review dates
- Follow up and/or assist in the completion of the performance evaluation form
- Collect and analyze HR data and produce reports as necessary
- Maintain current HR files and records
- Complete off-boarding administration such as termination paperwork, ROE, and exit interviews
- Other HR duties as required
Payroll/Accounting:
- Assist with the preparation of accounting reports, monthly financial statements, and budgets
- Payroll entry for approximately 30 staff
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education; Bachelor's degree or diploma in HR preferred
- Combination of 1-3 years of human resources experience and accounting experience
- Experience with HRIS such as Bamboo HR considered an asset
- Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks considered an asset
- Experience and knowledge with Benefit administration
- Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards
- Highly developed communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
