Job Brief:

The IR&M Field Technician. This full-time position location is based in Fairview (travelling to our closest regions). This position requires ability/flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and overnight for maintenance and on-call work. Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills are required with a good foundation of electronics and technology.

Good computer skills is a requirement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection on the job.
  • Provides great customer service, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Perform successful residential and business installations, fiber connections on the OSP, service additions, and disconnections.
  • Troubleshooting and repair
  • Complete Field Locates of CFOC Network
  • Maintain and repair Central Office equipment.
  • Complete routine Preventive Maintenance Routines
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure all equipment is in excellent condition
  • Drive to and from locations
  • Work closely with other departments within the company and work independently.
  • Perform various administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Operate hand tools
  • lift 50lbs
  • Use a ladder
  • Work outside in all conditions.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, continuous improvement, and team management
  • Ability to work with corporate executives and support staff
  • A background in Installation and Repair of telecommunication services.
  • Ability to Travel to team members located throughout north/central AB.
  • Positive attitude and customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Enjoys working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Post-secondary
  • Driver abstract and valid Drivers license.

Salary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
