Primary Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly production employees to meet daily production schedules. Ensure machinery operates efficiently within established parameters and products adhere to quality standards.
- Process Management: Maintain an in-depth understanding of production processes and controls, ensuring consistent product quality and adherence to end-use requirements.
- Reporting: Accurately complete and verify production, warehousing, shipping, and line reports. Distribute reports as necessary.
- Personnel Management: Approve employee time records and maintain accurate personnel records, including attendance, performance, and training. Conduct annual performance reviews and oversee employee development and training programs.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote a safe working environment, enforce safety policies, and maintain records of zero lost-time accidents. Ensure compliance with the chemical recycling program and handle unsafe conditions promptly.
- Housekeeping & Maintenance: Implement and maintain proper housekeeping practices to minimize product loss and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Oversee warehousing and storage operations.
- Problem Solving & Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency, machinery performance, and processes. Handle personnel issues and ensure policy compliance.
- Additional Duties: Support management by performing additional tasks as needed and maintain consistent attendance.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and direct hourly production employees to meet production goals while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with E-time systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret reports, safety rules, and operating procedures.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including statistics, percentages, and ratios, to production-related tasks.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Supervisory and manufacturing training is highly desirable.
- Forklift Certification: Required.
- Driver's License: A valid drivers license is required for occasional travel to corporate offices, other plants, customers, or vendor locations for meetings, training, or seminars.
Compensation:
- Up to $90,000
- Potential of $3000 bonus
