Job DescriptionWhat does an average day look like?
On a day-to-day level, this position is not a typical desk job. The candidate would be out in the field 4-5 days a week working on testing, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, chemical additions, optimizing chemical feed equipment and operations. Reporting on time and communication is important and above all else, working safely is paramount.
Accessing various sites at the customer location to collect water samples, test and troubleshoot water treatment applications. Working hours are 9am to 5pm, but are flexible to start and end earlier if needed. After sufficient mentoring and support, the individual would be working on their own and interacting with the Veolia WTS Account Manager and customer contacts for support.
Administrative tasks include: improving knowledge of water treatment and the individual systems; safety training and safety related improvement projects; working on web based data management, technical manual and customer value added projects.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science
- Available to commit to a 12-16 month co-op anticipated to start in May 2025 and end in July/August 2026.
- A vehicle will be required, and valid driver's license as there are two locations. Opportunity to use vehicle on site to reduce walking requirements.
- There is a physical component including lifting up to 24 kgs, accessing filters
