Cabin Resources Management has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in four main divisions: forestry, environmental operations, recreation solutions and wildfire management. We are currently looking to add a Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
- Lead all aspects of data management in the field and office
- Ensure legal, regulatory and client specific requirements are met with deliverables
- Supervision in the field and training new crew members
What we are looking for:
- An above and beyond commitment to safety
- Education in forestry field with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Bachelors Degree
- Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT
- Experience with road and cutblock layout (minimum 4 years), timber reconnaissance and field crew supervision
- Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks
- A firm understanding of forest policy, guidelines and BC's regulations
- Experience in cable layout and analysis, Road design, SP data collection, Site Plan and Harvest Plan drafting, riparian assessments, forest health, surveys and wildfire management
