The main focus of a Business Development Representative is in the early stages of the sales process. Your goal is to generate and work with a steady stream of qualified leads and opportunities for Lightscapes.
Job Scope:
- Identify potential new customers and business prospects through research, cold outreach, and networking
- Work with leads who reach out directly to our receptionist about Lightscapes projects
- Conduct outbound sales activities like cold calls, cold emails, and social selling to engage prospects
- Qualify leads to determine if they are a good fit for the company's products/services
- Meet and conduct demos with qualified prospects
- Build relationships with potential customers and nurture leads through the early stages of the sales process
- Research target companies, industries, and decision makers to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies
Qualifications: - At least 5 years of related industry experience preferred
- A reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Very comfortable in a sales role
- Excellent research and prospecting skills
- Self motivated
- Familiar with sales processes and techniques
- Highly organized with great time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Comfortable using and learning new technology
