Newforce has an opening for an experienced Picker Truck Operator in the Sylvan Lake or Drayton Valley area.

Qualifications and Experience
- Oil field safety tickets; H2S Alive, Ground disturbance level 2, First Aid, Common safety orientation.
- 3 years of work experience in the trade
- Class 5 Licence with 3-year commercial driver abstract.
- Experience securing loads, pulling trailers, and operating picker trucks.
- Able to read and follow maps to remote locations.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Understanding of Specifications, Codes, and ABSA standards.
- Applicants must be within Sylvan Lake or the Drayton Valley area.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installations and maintenance of piping systems
- Tie-ins for new and existing systems.
- Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required shape using hand and power tools.
- Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of the piping system.
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment.
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systems.
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate the system.
- Pigging and testing of pipelines.
- Painting, housekeeping, and other laborer duties.
- Follow all company, client, and OHS safety requirements.

Working Conditions
Average 10-hour days, weather conditions, changing environment, cramped and awkward positions. Working with heavy tools and materials. Working with overhead loads, knuckle-boom, overhead cranes, and rope rigging.
