About the Opportunity:
As a member of the Marketing team and the Mobilization team, the Senior Marketing Manager will take the lead in developing marketing strategies and executing tactics to support the Mobilization spoke's goals and objectives.
Reports to: Senior Director, Marketing, Brand and Fundraising
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate and partner with the Mobilization team to understand the strategic goals and objectives of the mobilization line of business. Coordinate across the organization to lead the development of a marketing plan to achieve the stated/desired goals.
- Leverage data and research to identify target segments of the community which will support the development of strategies and tactics to improve engagement.
- Lead the marketing briefing process, writing briefs, developing timelines and workback schedules, ensuring the overall objective of the project/initiative are clear and metrics are identified along with how goals will be measured.
- Work with the DART team to develop dashboards and share metrics during campaign and reporting post-campaign/event. Ensure all work is aligned with UJA Brand and is brand compliant across all aspects.
- Project manage the content development, design process, project plans, work-back schedules and approvals for direct marketing campaigns (print and digital), large-scale events, meetings, reports and fundraising materials.
- Following the process and using agreed upon platforms, ensure work is properly planned and prioritized within the marketing hub, and hub partners have the assets and information they need to support the work at the highest level of effectiveness.
- Conduct rigorous follow-up to stay on the critical path, ensuring communication of project status cross-functionally to all key stakeholders on a regular established basis.
- Lead the marketing strategy and execution for mobilization events, provide hands-on support to ensure brand aligned events that meet strategic objectives that are delivered on time and on budget with flawless execution, and clear reporting on metrics, all while documenting learning.
- Provide support for after-hours and last-minute events in crisis situations.
- Support the Brand project, ensuring Mobilization line of business needs are considered and reflected in the final roll-out.
- Work with the VP Mobilization and Senior Director, Marketing, Brand and Fundraising to streamline, formalize, roll-out and optimize briefing and production process, ensuring it is clear who needs to approve, at what part of the process, and who needs to be informed.
- As a senior member of the team, support and show leadership for a positive culture on the marketing team, mobilization team, and UJA organization. Lead by example through collaboration and respect for colleagues and other points of view. Welcome new team members and actively support their onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- 5-8 years of experience as a Marketing Manager, Project Manager, or similar role
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience leveraging data and research to develop strategies
- Experience developing communications strategies an asset
