We are looking for an experienced Estimator for a Construction company in Edmonton. As an Estimator, you will play an important role in reviewing proposals, estimating, bidding, and working closely with Project Managers to ensure successful completion of projects.

What we offer
- Salary: CAD85k and CAD100k per annum
- Job Type: Full time and Onsite

- Review proposals, bids, drawings, and specs to understand project scope and estimate needs.
- Estimate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts based on contract details.
- Maintain an updated list of suppliers and contractors; obtain quotes as needed.
- Develop effective bid strategies to ensure project success.
- Communicate with engineers, architects, and contractors; adjust cost estimates and track changes.
- Lead meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and adjust project plans accordingly.
- Monitor third-party work and billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in estimating and managing industrial and heavy civil earthworks projects.
- Skilled in reviewing plans to determine material and labor needs.
- Capable of leading meetings and building consensus among stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial management and technology tools.
- Proficient in databases and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Able to create and edit project documents and presentations.
