THE POSITION:We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our marketing team to promote our productions, engage with our audience, and help elevate the company's brand. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Media Buying & Advertising: Support the team in coordinating paid advertising campaigns, including negotiating with traditional media outlets (radio, print, outdoor advertising) and monitoring the performance of these campaigns.
  • Print & Direct Mail Campaigns: Assist in the development and execution of print marketing materials such as brochures, posters, flyers, and direct mail campaigns to promote theatre productions and immersive exhibits.
  • Event Promotion: Help coordinate and implement marketing strategies for live performances and events using traditional channels such as radio, newspapers, and community bulletin boards.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in grassroots efforts to engage local communities, arts organizations, and businesses through sponsorships, partnerships, and face-to-face outreach.
  • Public Relations Support: Assist with drafting press releases, coordinating media alerts, and working with PR agencies to generate media coverage in local and regional outlets.
  • Event Collateral: Manage the creation and distribution of physical promotional materials at theatre events, including programs, signage, and posters.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors such as printers, mailing houses, and media outlets to ensure timely and high-quality production of traditional marketing materials.
  • Digital Support: While the focus is on traditional marketing, the role will also involve collaborating with the digital marketing team to ensure an integrated approach, supporting email campaigns and basic social media tasks when needed.
  • Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support, including managing marketing calendars, organizing marketing materials, and scheduling meetings.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and familiarity with Canva a plus.
  • Highly energetic team player, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the Marketing team.
  • Interest in/knowledge of theatre/live entertainment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
