The Position:
Summit Search Grouphas been retained byPalliative Manitobaon the recruitment of their next Executive Director. Palliative Manitoba is dedicated to easing the suffering of individuals facing death, as well as supporting caregivers and the bereaved through compassionate services and educational resources. Guided by their mission to offer care and comfort, Palliative Manitoba envisions a province where everyone can access the information and support, they need during times of grief or end-of-life transitions.
The Executive Director of Palliative Manitoba will serve as the chief leader and spokesperson, guiding the organization toward achieving its mission of providing compassionate support to individuals facing death, grief, and caregiving challenges. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the organizations operations, from program development and execution to financial management, fundraising, and staff leadership. In this role, the Executive Director will cultivate and manage partnerships with community stakeholders, healthcare providers, and other organizations to enhance service delivery and broaden the organizations reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the organizations strategic plan in alignment with the mission, vision, and values.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization, ensuring transparent communication and effective governance.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of all programs and services to ensure they meet community needs and align with organizational goals.
- Foster innovation in service delivery, ensuring programs remain adaptive and impactful for individuals facing death, grief, and caregiving challenges.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and funders, including government agencies and health organizations, to secure sustainable funding and diversify revenue streams. Including the preparation and presentation of detailed reports to funders.
- Act as the face of the organization, representing Palliative Manitoba in public forums, media, and with stakeholders at the local and provincial levels.
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in non-profit and/or healthcare, and/or fund development are considered a strong asset.
