Job Title: Community Liaison

Based in Telegraph Creek, the Community Liaison supports the development and implementation of effective relationship stewardship and engagement activities that align with Skeena's community relationship goals. Your creative mindset and excellent communication skills will enhance community-level relationships within the Tahltan Nation. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments, contribute to successful relationship development, and support the success of Skeena and the Eskay Creek Revitalization project.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

•Supporting and organizing event planning, logistics and execution on behalf of project teams and facilitating community engagement opportunities such as participation in community and cultural events, facilitating community donations and contributions, supporting healthy community activities, and sharing information about the company and project with community members.
•Supporting the Regulatory Engagement team with coordination of community engagement events, workshops, seminars and presentations as applicable.
•Administering internal systems related to community engagement tracking.
•Identifying and implementing opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with Tahltan community programs and initiatives that support healthy communities.
•Coordinating and facilitating information sharing between corporate office, site, and various local community groups to ensure appropriate levels of detail are captured.
•Developing and maintaining effective relationships with Tahltan community members (including youth and elders).
•Supporting the development and review of key performance indicators that measure the effectiveness of our community relationship building activities.
•Maintaining an engagement log of community engagement and ad hoc community feedback received through various venues.
•Supporting the development of communications and engagement materials as required.
•All other related and general administrative duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Diploma in Post-Secondary; Business/Administration/Communications or similar is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Proven organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding and respect for cultural differences, especially in Indigenous communities.
• Strong interpersonal and reasoning skills, with proven problem-solving abilities.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with others.

Work Location & Conditions

This is a remote role, with the ideal candidate being based in Telegraph Creek, Northern BC working a Monday to Friday, 40 hour per week schedule. Some periodic travel to Skeena's other sites and offices may be required. Additionally, the job is in a fast paced, and at times a demanding working environment, with necessity to manage multiple competing priorities, the ability to multi-task is essential.
