Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join a leading team in electrical construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for large-scale electrical systems in various construction projects. This role requires expertise in electrical systems, as well as the ability to collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive bids and effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, including labor, materials, and equipment for large-scale construction projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to ensure all electrical work is captured in the estimate.
- Perform quantity take-offs for electrical components and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing.
- Analyze electrical drawings and proposals to ensure accuracy and scope alignment.
- Prepare bid proposals and tender submissions that meet project budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, to ensure estimates align with project objectives.
- Maintain and update estimating databases, ensuring cost data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist with cost control and budgeting during the construction phase, ensuring that actual costs align with estimates.
- Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, with a focus on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and estimating practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
- A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
