Licensed Sales Assistant or Associate Wealth Advisor
Affinity Financial Strategies (“AFS”), in partnership with GP Financial Services, presently has an opening for a Licensed Sales Assistant or an Associate Wealth Advisor. AFS is a wealth management provider offering financial planning, investments and insurance and investments to a portfolio of existing clients and members of the credit union and their communities. GP Financial Services is an independent Wealth Management office with over years 30 years of history providing financial planning and investment management for individuals and families.
This position is responsible for providing administrative and sales support to a Senior Wealth Advisor. As part of this team, you will be mentored by an experienced advisor and working with existing clients and credit union Members. You will act as a resource for the clients and assist the advisor in delivering comprehensive financial strategies based on individual financial needs and goals through marketing activities, file preparation and client relationship management.
As a personable self-starter, you have what it takes to become highly successful, and build the foundation for successful career in financial services. Ideally, you have a minimum of 2 years of successful financial advisory experience, have an attention to detail and desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and hold client meetings with Senior Wealth Advisor and support in developing appropriate financial strategies, and appropriate recommendations.
- Share's responsibility of office administrative duties and supports senior representatives with the management of ongoing client relationships to ensure seamless operations and a strong client engagement.
- Creates and maintains client files, adhering to compliance requirements.
- Promotes and markets firm's investment and insurance services internally and externally.
- Provides support to Credit Union staff on the referral of qualified clients for investment and estate solutions, subject to compliance with Credit Union Act.
- Stay informed with regard to the latest trends in financial planning, investment and insurance solutions, broad knowledge of the product offerings and familiarity with industry competitors, current issues, and strategies.
The successful candidate will work out of our AFS/GP Financial Services office in Regina, SK. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or possess the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). The successful candidate will be required to complete the education requirements to be a IIROC licenced Investment Representative in an agreed upon time A Financial Planning designation, or enrolment in a Financial Planning program is a definite asset.
