Graduate Consultant - Cost Management

Construction cost management is an integral part of any construction project, where we are delivering best value to our clients by offering construction cost advise to optimize costs and value on the project. In your role you will support the Commission Manager by taking on responsibility for effectively delivering a wide range of tasks to the highest quality standards. Some of the key responsibilities include: estimating and producing construction cost plans, conducting cost checks and valuation of works complete on site in a month, reviewing and commenting on change orders under the construction contract, reviewing actual costs incurred on site against the construction budget, reviewing and analysing the numbers for the contractors final account and final payment, and liaising with the stakeholders on the construction project such as the client, contractors and designers.

Graduate Development Program (GDP)

The GDP is a twenty-four month structured learning environment which will provide each graduate with the skills, training, and experience to be a successful consultant in their chosen field.

Through the GDP, we will work with you to shape a development plan which is aligned to our technical and behavioural competency frameworks and supports your long-term career ambitions towards achieving professional designation with an industry body. You will be provided with the support required to guide and mentor you through the scheme.

The GDP is designed to be:

  • a platform to enhance knowledge and gain first-hand experience

  • a training schedule to support and capture your learning and development needs and achievements

  • a learning tool document to track and report the development of your capabilities.

We are looking for individuals to have a passion for the industry and be motivated by the work we do and the clients we work with.

Eligibility criteria:

  • A Degree or Diploma in a relevant degree is preferred, such as Construction Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), any other construction related degrees

    Less than 2 years of relevant work experience in construction
  • Eligible to live and work in Canada

  • Eligible candidates must be willing and able to be in attendance at our Toronto office and to attend client offices around the Greater Toronto Area as required on a weekly basis. Travel outside of the GTA may also be required, flexibility to travel is desired but not mandatory.
