As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and qualifying new business prospects through telephone outreach. This position requires proactive engagement with potential clients, initiating discussions to understand their needs, and presenting our products or services as effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outbound Calling: Conducting outbound calls to prospect lists provided by the company or generated through research. Initiating conversations with decision-makers to introduce our products or services and assess their interest and needs.
- Qualification: Engaging prospects in meaningful discussions to qualify their fit for our offerings. Asking probing questions to understand their pain points, challenges, and potential opportunities for collaboration.
- Relationship Building: Building rapport and trust with prospects through effective communication and active listening. Tailoring messaging to address their specific concerns and demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Solution Positioning: Articulating the value proposition of our products or services to prospects in a clear and compelling manner. Highlighting key features and benefits that address their needs and differentiate us from competitors.
- Setting: Scheduling qualified appointments or follow-up calls for the sales team with interested prospects. Ensuring accurate documentation of appointments and follow-up activities in CRM systems.
- Objection Handling: Addressing objections and concerns raised by prospects in a professional and confident manner. Overcoming objections through persuasive communication and providing relevant information or solutions.
- Performance Metrics: Meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call volume, appointment setting, and conversion rates. Striving to achieve weekly or monthly targets set by the sales management team.
Qualifications:
- University Degree Prefered.
- Previous experience in telemarketing, sales, or customer service roles is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and confident telephone manner.
- Bilingual French & English
- Strong listening and questioning skills to engage prospects and uncover their needs.
- Persistence and resilience to handle rejection and objections professionally.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software (Sugar CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot) and basic computer skills.
