Job DescriptionEnvironmental Health and Safety Coordinator/Specialist needed at a local manufacturing plant. Excellent benefits provided.
You will be responsible for guiding safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the company.
Ensure EHS Compliance across six sites, including five in the US and one in Canada. You must be able to travel 10-15%.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, such as OSHA and EPA.
Foster an incident and accident-free workplace through education, coaching, training.
Analyze and take corrective action on accidents involving people or property.
Create and monitor safety and accident prevention statistics. Manage accident investigations and reporting.
Assist with workers' compensation reporting.
QualificationsBachelor's degree, in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or Environmental Health and Safety. Two-year degrees may be considered with good experience.
Thorough knowledge about all applicable regulations.
Knowledge of Title V permits, air permits, hazardous waste management, and environmental reporting requirements.
Military and other experience in workplace safety will be considered in lieu of a degree. Internships or co-op experience are great pluses.
Must have excellent skills with MS Office tools for the purpose of writing reports, communication by email, analyzing statistics, developing PowerPoint presentations.
Some knowledge about Behavior Based Safety programs.
Must be willing to work in a factory/manufacturing environment.
