We provide photo-realistic visual effects for a variety of episodic and select sequences in feature films. Who You Are
You are an experienced CG Supervisor with experience in both episodic and feature film projects. You have demonstrated experience managing CG artists and are determined to lead a team in delivering work of the highest quality. You have a strong creative vision and want to contribute those skills to a growing team and company.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with Head of 3D and Production to determine project needs, both technically and creatively
- Assist producers in scheduling and maintaining expected CG turnovers and deadlines throughout the course of the project
- Develop a good rapport with client, helping to plan and execute their vision to the highest standard
- Oversee CG team for the project duration, clearly communicating tasks and deadlines
- Assist with all technical aspects of production for the CG department. Develop pipeline and workflow for project that is effective and efficient
- Lead and mentor team to ensure all work is produced to the highest quality and delivered on time
- Review and QC all work completed by the CG team, giving constructive feedback as needed and inspiring growth
- Offer creative vision to client and team, ensuring exceptional work within client budget and time constraints
- Contribute a creative eye to shots while always referencing reality
What You Bring
- Proven experience in leading a team of artists with clear direction and mentorship
- 5+ years working in a VFX studio environment
- Ability to critically review raw renders and shots coming out of pipeline
- Experience in collaboratively bidding and scheduling episodic projects
- Able to work with current pipeline as made available
- Exceptional team communication skills
- Experience with Houdini. Arnold renderer highly preferred.
- Experience with multi-episode project management for television
- Exceptional artistic skills and organizational skills; understands how to prioritize the necessary tasks and assignments for themselves and their artists
- Interact with everyone in a positive manner
- Able to multitask and switch gears as deadlines and priorities shift
- A genuine interest in pushing your creative and professional boundaries
- An ability to be self-directed and to thrive on tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
