$25.00- $26.00 per hour

Overview:

Join Allied Universal® as a Security Supervisor (Chief) for General Motors in Langley, BC, Canada, where you'll play a vital role in protecting our people, assets, and facilities. In this key position, you will lead a skilled security team, uphold security standards, and ensure a safe environment through strong oversight and proactive management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, visitors, and staff, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Lead response efforts for security incidents (e.g. fire safety) and emergencies, upholding professionalism, composure, and urgency.
• Oversee the delivery of top-quality security services to safeguard people and property on and off-site (e.g. access control, safety measures and audits, and disposal activities).
• Coordinate operational support services to meet security goals and maintain high service standards including the review, update and creation of processes/SOP.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of security professionals, including hiring, training, and managing schedules.
• Serve as the main point of contact for client communications, providing timely updates and addressing key issues.
• Actively engage with security activities at the site (e.g. patrols, CCTV review, and access control).
• Take charge of additional supervisory and management duties as directed by leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the security industry.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Valid BC Security License required.
• Full Class 5 BC driver's license required.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR.
• Warehouse experience is required.
• Minimum age of 18
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
