Job Title: Site Superintendent ICI New Build Construction Projects

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) new build construction projects, typically valued up to $20M. Experience in retail new builds is a strong asset. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective coordination with subcontractors, trades, and project teams to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations for ICI new build projects, including retail developments, ensuring timely and quality completion of all work.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and safety regulations.
  • Maintain strict compliance with construction schedules, budgets, and site safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure project specifications and goals are met.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper construction techniques are employed.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
  • Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are on-site as required to maintain the workflow.
  • Address any on-site issues or delays, providing solutions to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with a focus on ICI new builds (retail new build experience is an asset).
  • Proven ability to manage projects up to $20M, with experience in coordinating all aspects of the construction process.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • A diploma or degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
