The Role:
At STRIVE, we are partnered with an exciting client and a leader in their industry. They are currently seeking a skilledPress Managerto join their team at theirBurnabyfacility. The Press Manager will be responsible for supporting and supervising the activities of the Printing Press teams across all 3 shifts and will play an integral part of the team. This role directly reports to the Plant Manager.
This will be a Monday-Friday position with a starting time of 7 AM - 3 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of workers who set-up and operate flexographic printing presses.
- Lead and develop the printing press employees to build high-performance teams.
- Assist the Scheduling Manager in developing machines and managing schedules.
- Assist in analyzing and implementing process flow improvements, new systems and procedures in the Press.
- Assist the Quality Control Manager to follow and develop company quality control procedures and train staff.
- Consult with the Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot operator problems and support the Maintenance team when required.
- Participate in company-wide audits.
- Participate in improving the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Support health and safety priorities and assist in training staff.
- Prepare management reports for the Plant Manager.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Must Have's:
- 5+ years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment within a similar environment
- Direct experience in flexographic printing press operation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to gain respect from employees.
Compensation:
