Position Overview:
The Campus Care Associate is responsible for maintaining the building in a clean, safe, and welcoming condition. This role involves performing custodial duties, minor maintenance tasks, and facility setups to support the ministries at The Peoples Church. As part of the Campus Operations team, this position will spend a portion of its time addressing general maintenance and miscellaneous duties to ensure the campus is inviting and presentable. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the incumbent will collaborate with various ministries and interact with visitors.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Open, setup, secure, and close the building for various ministry needs.
  • Setup facilities and catering supplies for meetings, conferences, events, etc.
  • Receive guests, deliveries, and general inquiries as required.
  • Keep the facility in a neat and tidy condition; light cleaning duties as required.
  • Wash and disinfect miscellaneous items as required.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property in a clean, neat, and safe condition.
  • Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans; remove trash in accordance with established procedures.
  • Keep outside area near exits and entrances clear of snow and ice.
  • Lock and unlock assigned rooms, secure the building, and turn off lights when not in use.
  • Respond to emergencies as they arise, such as First Aid, Building Evacuation, and Crowd Control.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CPR, and Health & Safety.
  • Maintain detailed records of ongoing and completed projects to ensure a smooth transition for other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a deep growing personal faith in Jesus Christ and support the Statement of Faith of The Peoples Church.
  • Support the Statement of Faith and lifestyle covenant of The Peoples Church.
  • Skill in using cleaning products and equipment, including light maintenance.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work under little supervision.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills.

Assets:

  • Proven experience in skilled trades such as painting, carpentry, basic electrical work, plumbing, and other related trades.
  • Proficiency in using contractor equipment and machinery.
  • Familiarity with industry costs, terminologies, and contracts.

Working Conditions:

  • Must attend The Peoples Church.
  • Vulnerable Sector clearance required.
  • Participate in the life and ministry of The Peoples Church in areas outside of Campus Care.
