Overview

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining Robotic Welding machine and inspecting a variety of Thermon's Ruffneck Core products to ensure its conformance to customer specifications and meeting the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include

  • Program and configure robotic welding machines for a range of welding tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to Production orders by keeping organized and maintaining the work cell. Make sure the BOM is assembled by loading and positioning components for welding and meets quality procedures, inspections.
  • Monitor the welding process to ensure that welds comply with required Regulations, specifications and quality standards including quality procedures and design drawings.
  • Conduct inspections on finished products to verify their integrity and conformance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on robotic welding machines, which includes general maintenance that includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing or reporting any worn or damaged parts.
  • Follow and uphold Thermon safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Knowledge and experience in basic MIG welding.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in welding or robotics an asset.
  • Previous experience in welding or operating robotic machinery an asset. Familiarity with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, etc.) is a plus.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills
  • Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to use hand and power tools
