Comec is looking for multiple Local Steamfitter/Pipefitter Journeypersons for project work in the Cold Lake area. The work will be on boilers, so experience in boiler maintenance and repairs is an asset.

Project approx. 1.5-2 months long. 12hour days. 8 RT and 4 OT, Schedule is based on 10-4 shift. Expectations of overtime will be required. Possibility of nights (With shift differential if needed).

Job duties will include but not limited to. Blind and open boiler for inspections. Re/Re valves and components for inspections and repairs. Re/Re of economizer doors for inspections and repairs, replacement and fabrication of external and internal piping as needed, entrance and ability to work inside of OTSG boilers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with the work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Ensure client satisfaction by following all client regulations/ rules and always providing excellent customer service.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork. Including but not limited to – fabrication documentation, maintenance records, work tickets, JSA's hazard ID's, Daily time sheets, inspection documentation, safety procedure documentation.
• Install new Mechanical equipment, (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, relief valves etc.)
• Fit up and prepare piping joints required for welding.
• Coordinate lifting and rigging of equipment with the assistance of heavy lifting equipment or by hand rigging.
• Bolt up, Measure, cut, and thread piping required using hand tools.
• Select type and size of piping required.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Valid recognized Journeyperson Pipefitting/Steam fitting Ticket. (If out of Province ticket must have Red Seal ticket) or indentured in the apprentice program within Alberta
• Valid class 5 Drivers license
• Valid H2S Alive ticket, CSO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Mask Fit Test for full face masks
