About the role:
We are seeking a Supervisor to join our dynamic US Corporate Tax team at DMCL. In this pivotal role, you will manage our US tax compliance processes while fostering team development and growth. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for mentoring junior staff.
As a Supervisor at DMCL, you will transition from an individual contributor to a leadership role in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team, reviewing their work, ensuring they remain on track with daily tasks, and serving as the primary point of contact for any questions. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience working directly with clients.
This role is perfect for an experienced Senior Accountant eager to enhance their expertise and provides a solid foundation for future advancement into a Manager position.
How you'll make a difference:
- Manage the US corporate tax compliance requirements for a diverse client base.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Liaise with the Cross Border Personal/Expat Tax team to provide US corporate tax input on personal and estate planning matters.
- Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff, contributing to team development.
- Assist with client management, fostering excellent relationships, and identifying business development opportunities.
- Conduct research on US corporate tax issues, implement tax minimization strategies, and participate in special tax projects.
- Prepare, review, and advise on complex US corporate tax returns and related filings.
Who you are:
- Qualified CPA with a minimum of three years' experience in US tax, preferably within a public accounting firm.
- Experience dealing with the IRS and State tax authorities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on client service and team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational and analytical skills.
