Position

We are looking for a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team of experienced healthcare providers who want to make access to healthcare easier for our members.

Job Duties

  • Assess and evaluate acute and chronic health conditions for patients with an emphasis on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, counselling, screening, education, and referral.
  • Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary
  • Provide health education and counselling focused on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Improve patient outcomes along the continuum of care through the utilization and application of up-to-date evidence-based guidelines, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in research.
  • Initiating health care treatment for health care management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medication
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Prescribes drugs within the statutory and regulatory standards, limits, and conditions for Nurse Practitioners and within applicable employer policies and procedures.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates policies and procedures related to nursing, interdisciplinary care, and health system practices.
  • Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations as required by law
  • Create engaging videos / podcasts to support members in learning and enhancing their overall health.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Licensed in multiple provinces across Canada.
  • Extensive experience in telemedicine, providing online medication management and healthcare services to patients, ensuring timely and accurate remote care.
  • Strong expertise in utilizing EMR systems to efficiently document, manage, and analyze patient health information, ensuring seamless and accurate clinical workflows.
  • Able to communicate with patients in a clear, effective, and empathetic manner while providing quality patient care
  • Must be able to work in unique, fast-paced environments that are technology driven and adopting latest technology innovations
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in French is a plus and would be considered an added advantage.

The annual compensation is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market.

Status: Full Time

Location: Hybrid / Remote

Office Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $115K - $135K
