As a member of the Colleague Services team, the colleague shuttle driver provides transportation services for the 800 Staff Residents living on site at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This is an ideal role for a community focused individual; hosting residents on the shuttle, and providing transportation and lifestyle support, while completing daily tasks. The colleague shuttle driver is an essential component of our mission for all residents: To provide the best possible living experience on property.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering engaging and welcoming service.
- Operating the staff shuttle between the Chateau Lake Louise and the village of Lake Louise, the Lake Louise ski hill, Canmore, Banff, and Calgary.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the staff shuttle.
- Completing daily routine maintenance reports for the staff shuttle and alerting management of any issues or concerns that need to be attended to.
- Completing weekly inspections of the colleague services additional vehicles (between 3 and 6 vehicles) ensuring vehicles are cleaned, maintained, and are not in need of repair. Reporting any issues to Colleague Services Management team.
- Assisting with mail duties, including picking up mail deliveries from the village of Lake Louise post office for all 800 residents, delivering to staff services in upper Lake Louise, and assisting the Colleague Services team in processing mail.
- Assisting the Colleague Services team with the arrival of new staff members; picking up from town or the main hotel entrance, conducting a property tour, assisting with luggage and transportation to their unit.
- Assist Colleague Services with miscellaneous tasks including: moving furniture, cleaning Colleague Services grounds, vacuuming, and other light duties as assigned.
- Comply with all department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
- Must have a valid Alberta Class 4 driver's licence and must provide a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points.
- Previous experience providing professional, friendly and engaging service an asset.
- Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to solve problems .
- Experience working with vehicle and basic vehicle troubleshooting an asset.
- Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating initiative as required and ability to work independently.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:
- Driving for 6-8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects up to 50lbs (mail deliveries) daily
- Walking, standing 1 – 4 hours per day
- Moving furniture – (once per week)
