Program Coordinator (Full time)
Aboriginal Supported Child Development Centre
The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking a Coordinator of the Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program and reports to the Early Childhood Services Director.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related discipline.
- Current ECE, Infant Toddler and Special Needs Certification in BC is considered an asset.
Experience/Skills
- Educational degree and/or relevant post-secondary education and work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience working with children with special needs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in an inclusive childcare setting.
- Demonstrated program management and strong staff supervision skills.
- Superior communication skills including: presentation skills, writing ability, computer proficiency, and authentic people skills.
- Proven experience in writing reports on activities, strategic work plans goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse clientele on an individual and group basis.
- Maintaining small caseload - ability to administer child assessments or screenings as necessary.
- Experience working with First Nations community is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract within the last 5 years.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CRC).
- Starting wage $30/hr. to $35/hr. based on education and experience.
