The Role:
Canco is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative – Wholesale to support the Fuel team. This person will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with wholesale clients, and driving sales growth in Western Canada. They will have a strong background in sales and business development and great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential wholesale clients and new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute new strategies to acquire wholesale clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and agreements to senior management team.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients alongside Senior VP of Fuel.
- Track and report on sales activities, performance metrics, and market trends.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and stay updated on market trends.
- Represent the company at industry functions and promote its brand.
- Other duties as required.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience (2+ years) in business development, sales, and acquisition related role.
- Strong understanding of the wholesale market and industry dynamics.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in market analysis.
- Strong communication negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
