Who You Are:
- Journeyman Carpenter Ticket required
- Experienced and skilled carpenter with a background in commercial and/or institutional construction.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and construction methods.
- Proficient in using both electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
- Holder of a valid Standard First Aid Level C or higher.
- Safety-conscious and highly organized.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid and clean driver's license, with a willingness to travel to various sites.
- Additional tickets such as Zoom Boom and Skid Steer are an asset.
What You Will Do:
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub-flooring, and install walls and roofing systems.
- Fit and install trim, doors, stairs, molding, and hardware.
- Measure, cut, and join materials made of wood or wood substitutes.
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers.
