The Successful candidate will work a 14-day on-7 off rotation supporting a project on the mine site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site technical support for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the installation and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Ensure all electrical work adheres to project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to verify the performance and integrity of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with the project team to address technical challenges and enhance electrical systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on electrical system status and suggest improvements.
  • Monitor project progress to meet timelines and budget requirements.
  • Train and support site personnel on electrical systems and safety practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective electrical maintenance strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a field engineer, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Consideration will also be given to Engineering Techs with a trade background and strong construction-related field experience.
