Role Summary

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting, and compliance of the company. The Finance Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, implement effective financial controls, and support the CFO in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making.

You're good at

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    1. Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
    2. Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    3. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    1. Leading the annual budgeting process and collaborating with department heads to develop budgets.
    2. Monitoring budget performance and provide variance analysis.
    3. Preparing financial forecasts and scenarios to support strategic planning.
  3. Internal Controls and Compliance:
    1. Developing and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
    2. Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
    3. Conducting periodic internal audits and coordinate with external auditors.
    4. Overseeing payroll, AP, AR and tax reporting
  4. Cash Flow Management:
    1. Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
    2. Optimizing working capital and manage credit and collections.
    3. Preparing cash flow forecasts and identify potential cash flow issues.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    1. Capable of leading financial projects and managing finance staff, while supporting senior leadership in decision-making processes.
    2. Fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
    3. Identify training and development needs for team members.
  6. Financial Strategy and Advisory:
    1. Supporting the CFO in developing and executing the company's financial strategy.
    2. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
    3. Participating in strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, and investment opportunities.
  7. Systems and Process Improvement:
    1. Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.
    2. Implementing and optimizing financial systems and tools.
    3. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in financial systems.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Accounting/ Finance experience in a multiple company set up.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Understanding of US accounting principles, financial practices, and compliance with US GAAP
