DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Installation and maintenance of meter hardware and software on-site/field as required, May require installations of signs• May train people to use the organization's computer system or organize outside training programs, particularly for new software. • Provide preventative maintenance for existing meters (Pay-stations).• Provide preventive maintenance program for existing single space meters and Pay on Foot Stations.• Ensure that all meters cleaned, batteries replaced routinely.• Maintain ample parts inventory including domes, batteries, poles, spare housings & locks, mechanisms, etc. to provide immediate replacement• Immediately respond to meter repair requests.• Maintain meter repair log.• Conduct daily check of routes for damaged meters.• This position requires the ability to work alone and therefore must exercise proper judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with people. • Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking meters, multi-space machines, pay on foot technology and any other means of collecting parking revenues and fees.• Assist event staff with activities related to parking for events. This includes but is not limited to: setting up for events, traffic control, receipt of payment for parking, and lot usage control.• Assist office staff with activities related to permit sales during peak seasons. This includes but is not limited to data entry, collating mailings, providing frontline customer service. • Flexibility in working hours is a requirement. • Other related duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor alerts through a variety of platforms such as emails, voicemails, and parking software.
  • Immediately respond to meter alerts and repair requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot parking equipment and parking server software issues.
  • Repair parking gate arm, re-attach and replace gate arm and gate arm components.
  • Provide work status update, detailed work summary, and next and pending service calls using the mobile app.
  • Prepare and complete work orders using the mobile app.
  • Maintain a high standard appearance of parking meters and routine battery replacement.
  • Basic programming of meter for meter rates changes and meter configuration.
  • Shadow train newly hired meter technicians in field work and software work
  • Maintain operation key log sheet and gas card log sheet.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the meter vehicle; ensure that the vehicle is properly stocked with parking equipment spare parts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the meter warehouse; ensure that the fleet of batteries are being charged for daily use; check the meter and spare parts inventory and inform the manager if additional parts are required; create RMA and send faulty parts out to the parking equipment manufacturer.
  • Assist support services team with office activities, which includes, but not limited to, data entry, collating mailings, cash collection activities.

  • Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, and holidays (based on operational needs); willing and able to work beyond normal working hours on occasions.
